Room book

By definition in VDI 6023, the room book is a document in which the scope of the drinking water installation and its subsequent utilisation in the individual rooms must be described in detail. The aim of this is to enable needs-based and hygiene-compliant planning in order to ensure proper operation in principle.

For buildings with special use, such as hospitals, retirement homes, kindergartens, schools and buildings with commercial use, a room book must be created in accordance with DIN 1988-200, which must contain a description of use and a concept for the drinking water installation.
