Pressure loss in the flow-through drinking water heater

The pressure loss in the flow-through drinking water heater must be taken into account when dimensioning the consumption lines (PWC/PWH) and accordingly when calculating the delivery pressure of the circulation pump(s). A misjudgement can lead to considerable malfunctions both in meeting demand and in ensuring sufficient temperatures in the circulation system.

A known operating point with a given pressure difference (Δp_g) and a given flow rate (V_g) is required for the calculation. These values must be specified by the manufacturer of the flow-through drinking water heater.
