Minimum supply pressure (Drinking water wizard options)
The minimum supply pressure can be defined in the options wizard using two options.

- Calculate minimum supply pressure at the start of the service pipe (HAL) according to the rules of pressure boosting technology(DIN 1988-500): If you select this calculation method, the Minimum supply pressure is calculated from the product of the largest flow path length with an average pressure gradient.Note:By default, the specifications from the now withdrawn DIN 1988-5 are used for the pressure gradient. The pressure gradient can be adapted to the project-specific requirements in the design options under .
- Minimum supply pressure as specified by Water supply companies (WVU) (DIN 1988-300): The minimum supply pressure in hPa must be entered here. The default value for the minimum supply pressure is 4000 hPa. As a rule, the minimum supply pressure must be entered here as a specification of the supply company. To ensure that the specifications of the water supply company can be taken into account, the house connection situation must be shown accordingly in the drawing.Note:If the pressure loss in the house connection pipe and in the water meter is to be taken into account at a flat rate of 850 hPa, the drinking water installation must begin with the "house connection group" combination componentBy default, the water supply company should specify the minimum supply pressure behind the water meter in accordance with DIN 1988-300. To ensure that this case is taken into account in the calculation, the house connection pipe and the water meter must not be shown on the drawing. In this case, the drinking water installation begins with the "neutral start or transfer point" component.
.Note:The generalised consideration of the pressure loss in the house connection pipe and the water meter of the water supply company with a total of 850 hPa leads to a low available pressure drop in drinking water installations for multi-storey buildings and thus to unnecessarily large pipe cross-sections. These pressure losses should be calculated in a differentiated manner, taking into account the specifications of the water supplier, especially if Woltmann meters are used in larger drinking water installations. If the water supply company specifies the material and nominal diameter of the service pipe as well as the design of the Main shut-off device (HAE) and the water meter, the corresponding pressure losses can also be calculated separately. For this purpose, the house connection pipe, starting with the "house connection point" component (valve drilling clamp) and the water meter system, must be shown in a drawing. The WVU's specifications can be transferred to the section properties of the house connection pipe or to the component properties of the respective fixtures.
