    Drawing-specific settings relating to your calculation are set in the Design options dialogue.

The input water hardness and the target water hardness must be defined in order to design the softening system

Input parameters for water hardness

In the start component, adjust the water hardness defined in the standard in °dH.
The input water hardness in °dH is edited and set in the component properties window.

Note:
Alternatively, you can define a different default value for the inlet water hardness in the supply pressure area in the design options or in the options wizard.

Target water hardness

Define the target water hardness on the water softener component in the Component properties window.
Calculate the drawing.
The water softener is designed using the target water hardness and the blend from the 0°dH water of the water softener.
