Circulation simulation messages
Various messages can occur in the messages during the simulation, which are explained below.
- Pressure loss at the valve is too high: If the pressure drop (pressure loss) at a valve is too high, this can result in unwanted noise. This limit is specified by the valve manufacturer. If this value is exceeded, this message is issued. In this case, it should be considered whether a further control level (additional static valves) can be used to distribute the pressure losses over several valves.

Minimum temperature not reached: The most important task of DHW circulation is to maintain the temperature in the pipe network. If the temperature falls below the minimum temperature, this message is displayed. The minimum temperature corresponds to the storage tank temperature minus the maximum temperature difference. Both values can be manipulated in the simulation. An excessive temperature drop in the network can have various causes:
- The total volume flow is too low (select a larger pump)
- The volume flow in a specific flow path is too low (check the valve technology or design of the network)

Maximum flow velocities exceeded: A maximum flow velocity is specified for the simulation in the Project settings dialogue. This value does not influence the simulation, but is only required for the subsequent check. If this flow velocity is exceeded in a section, this message is displayed. Note:Please note that the flow velocity specified for the calculation in CALHYDRA is primarily used for dimensioning the pipework. Therefore, the maximum flow velocity in the simulation should not be confused with the flow velocity on which the calculation is based.
- Disinfection temperature undershot: If the simulation is in disinfection mode, the first priority is to maintain a minimum temperature of 70 °C in the entire pipe network. If the temperature falls below this temperature in a section, this message is displayed.
