Create ceilings/roofs

Create ceilings/roofs

Button:

Command name: CreateCeilingAndRoofs

You can use CreateCeilingAndRoofs to create ceilings and roofs.

Select the room symbols and/or the floor frames for which you want to create the ceiling components.

Roof components are created if you have already tapped primary roofs/dormers, otherwise ceilings are created.

Tip:
Only create the floor on the top floor, as the corresponding roof shape is often tapped afterwards.
Confirm your selection with the Enter key.

The created ceilings are displayed with orange-coloured crosses. No ceilings are created for rooms that extend over several storeys (e.g. stairwell) and whose room numbers have been edited accordingly.
You can make changes to the ceiling components at any time. Right-click on the relevant ceiling component and select Edit ceiling or double-click on the relevant component.
The Edit component dialogue opens.
- You can select a component type in the Type drop-down menu.
- In the Name drop-down menu, you can adjust the name of the component with the corresponding U-value from the heat load calculation.
Click on OK.
