Command name: AddComponent

Button:

  1. Select a component from the component library. If you have called up the command by entering it in the command line, enter the name of the component you want to place in the drawing in the following dialogue.
  2. Select the desired placement routine.
    • Enter p or use the up arrow key to place pipe components parallel in lines. Specify the intersection line of the lines in which the components are to be placed by entering two points.
      Note:
The pipe fittings are placed parallel in all pipes that intersect with the intersection line and screwed into the pipe.
    • Enter t or use the down arrow key to replace already placed components with the selected component in the drawing. The new component and the component to be replaced must both be of the same type. This means that both components must be tubular components or both must not be tubular components. Then specify a drawing area in which the components are to be replaced by entering two corner points.
      Note:
All components in the specified drawing area will be replaced. The rotation angle of the original component is retained during the exchange.
    • Place the component in the drawing as often as you like by left-clicking on it.
      Tip:
Rotate the component in 45° increments using the arrow keys.
  3. Exit the command with ESC or the right mouse button.
    Note:
You can re-insert components that have already been placed into the drawing by right-clicking on the placed component in the drawing and selecting the ...re-insert function in the context menu.
