Command name: GripWall
-
Set whether you want to grip walls on the outside or inside.

-
Expand the U-value drop-down menu and select an external wall or internal wall.
Tip:You can change the settings while the command is being executed. All components that were previously created in the heat load calculation under External walls or Internal walls in the U-value calculation are listed under U-value.Note:The specified wall thickness from the U-value calculation is automatically displayed for the selected component. You also have the option of entering a different wall thickness for the external wall under Wall thickness. In this case, the stored U-value is retained.
- Make the following settings under Pick up wall - Options
-
Pick up the points with the option Inside, clockwise or Outside, clockwise.
Note:You can define walls such as windows as a deduction area; the points tapped must be inside a wall. Set the corresponding U-value and the wall thickness.Example 1: In the following example, an external wall is tapped with the setting External, clockwise.

- Start the tapping process by left-clicking from the top left corner.
- Grab all (2,3,4) outer corners clockwise with a left mouse click and end at the first 1 grabbed point.
- The walls that have already been tapped are displayed in colour.
- The function of tapping the outer wall is cancelled with the right mouse button or the ESC key.
- The tapped outer walls are displayed in a greyish colour.
Tip:You have the option of changing the colour in the layer manager. To do this, open the 1 Layer Manager and change the colour in the relevant 2 layer.

- When tapping the dormer wall, proceed in the same way as when tapping an external wall. In the example shown, the exterior setting is shown in a clockwise direction.
-
In the Roofs area, click on GW for dormer wall.
You can make various settings in the command options. The dormer wall can be tapped either from the inside or from the outside in a clockwise direction. All components that were previously created in the heat load calculation under External walls in the U-value calculation are listed under U-value. Expand the drop-down menu and select an external wall. The specified wall thickness from the U-value calculation is automatically displayed for the desired component. You can enter a different wall thickness under Wall thickness; the stored U-value will be retained in this case.
-
Make the desired settings and then access the dormer wall with two clicks (1, 2).

- Exit the command with ESC or the right mouse button.
