Insert smart block

Opens the dialogue for inserting a smart block

Command name: InsertSmartBlock

Button:

The Insert block dialogue is divided into 4 areas.

Find blocks area:

Use the find function for blocks to filter out the block to be inserted.
- Select the corresponding trade from the drop-down menu.
- Select the properties that the objects you are looking for have and that also serve as filters. The list of search results is broken down to a few results. You can select several property values in succession.
- Reset your search parameters by clicking Reset.
- Move the mouse over the search results to display a help text with the common values and the number of objects found in the search result.
The currently found block from the search function is automatically displayed in the live preview.

Full text search area:

Enter the block name or part of the block name here. The search also reacts to incomplete search terms.
The blocks matching the search are listed one below the other.

Preview area

Check your block selection directly in the preview window.

Action area:

Select the desired action from the drop-down menu.
- With Insert, the block is inserted without removing existing drawing objects
  Note:
  You can place the block in the drawing as often as you like.
- Stamp block inserts a block into a drawing in the same way as the SmartStamp command. Elements that are below the block in the drawing are removed from the drawing.
- Click Edit to open the Create block dialogue and edit the currently selected block.
- Click Delete to delete the current block after a confirmation prompt.
- Activate the Mirror checkbox to mirror the current block horizontally.
Note:
You must have selected a block before you can exit the dialogue by clicking Ok and one of the selected actions will be carried out.
