Hydraulic balancing (heating)

Hydraulic balancing is the adjustment of the volume flows and pressure ratios of a heat distribution system. According to the German Construction Contract Procedures (VOB Part C), hydraulic balancing must be carried out for every heating system. Hydraulic balancing ensures that all heating surfaces are supplied with the required volume flows of the heating medium in good time when used as intended. There is no oversupply or undersupply. This means that the heat generator can be operated more economically and more efficient pumps can be used thanks to the adjusted volume flows and lower pressure losses.
