Ultimate pressure

The final pressure of a diaphragm expansion vessel defines the pressure at the highest system temperature of the system. The closing pressure difference of the safety valve must be at least 0.5 bar in accordance with TRD 721. If the set pressure of the safety valve is greater than 5 bar, 10 % is deducted from the set pressure of the safety valve to determine the final pressure.

Symbol or abbreviation:

pe

Usual unit:

hPa

Equation:

The following applies for a set pressure of the safety valve below 5 bar:

pe=pSV-0,5 bar

The following applies for a set pressure of the safety valve above 5 bar:

pe=pSV-pSV*0,1
