Heating load

The heating load is the amount of heat that must be supplied to cover heat losses and maintain the indoor temperature at defined outdoor temperatures, depending on the geographical location. The basis for this is DIN EN 12831 or DIN/ZS 12831-1.

The heating load is the basis for the heating surface design. It depends on
  • Building location
  • Purpose of the individual room
  • Type and construction of the areas comprising the building
