Project and application settings
Cross-project application settings are defined in the project and application settings.
Basic settings
The basic settings in the Project and application settings dialogue contain file configurations for your drawing.

  - 3D view
    The 3D view window displays a 3D overview of the currently captured or calculated drawing. The bidirectional link with the drawing ensures that the currently selected object is always visible in the drawing and in the view window.
  - Wastewater lifting unit
    The component Wastewater lifting unit is used to integrate components that are drained via the wastewater lifting unit in the drawing.
  - Design options (waste water)
    Drawing-specific settings relating to your calculation are set in the Design options dialogue.
  - Design options (heating)
    Drawing-specific settings relating to your calculation are set in the Design options dialogue.
  - Design options (drinking water)
    Drawing-specific settings relating to your calculation are set in the Design options dialogue.
  - Construction stages
    You can divide a drawing into construction stages so that you can later create a material extract according to construction stages.
  - Component properties
    In the Edit and Calculate work perspective, your selection in the drawing is highlighted in colour. Section properties and component properties can be displayed and edited differently from the global project settings.
  - Component filter
    The component filter allows you to quickly filter the selected components in the drawing.
  - Edit labelling
    The predefined labelling features can be configured in the text field {Platzhalter} for features and constant text.

    The CAD Performance Tool is a tool for the automated revision of plans to improve performance.
  - Drainage areas
    The Drainage areas window in the Drainage section is divided into two tabs.
  - Find function
    STUDIO has a parameterised search function that supports you when searching for drawn sections and components in the drawing, when selecting smart blocks to insert and when selecting products.
  - Heat load report
    With the preview of the calculation output, STUDIO supports you in customising the calculation output.

    With the preview of the calculation output, STUDIO supports you in customising the calculation output.

  - Project data
    The Project data dialogue contains project information for the current project, for example for the project cover sheet or to determine the rainfall donations.

    - General
      In the General area under Calculations in the Project and application settings dialogue, you define settings for components.
    - Heating load
      In the Heating load area in the Project and application settings dialogue, you can make settings regarding the heating load in STUDIO.
    - Logos
      The Logos area in the Project and application settings dialogue allows you to adjust individual lines of your logo in the heating load printout by entering text.
    - Basic settings
      The basic settings in the Project and application settings dialogue contain file configurations for your drawing.
    - DenCAD (general)
      The DenCAD (general) area in the Project and application settings dialogue only refers to drawings that are neither defined as a line diagram nor as a floor plan. If you want to make settings for the line diagram or floor plan area, you must define the corresponding settings there.
    - Floor plan
      The settings defined in the Floor plan area in the Project and application settings dialogue only apply to drawings that are defined as floor plans.
    - String diagram
      The settings defined in the Line scheme area in the Project and application settings dialogue only apply to drawings that are defined as a line scheme.
    - Additional settings
      Advanced CAD settings are defined in the Additional settings area in the Project and application settings dialogue.
    - Updates
      STUDIO allows you to make settings for the automatic search for programme updates in the Project and application settings dialogue.
    - General
      The General section in the Project and application settings dialogue allows you to adjust the time interval for autosaving and the setting for displaying the product information.
    - Wizards
      The Wizards section in the Project and application settings dialogue allows you to make settings for using the Open project wizard.
    - User Interface
      In the User Interface section of the Project and Application Settings dialogue box, you can configure settings for the user interface controls.
    - Material
      In the Material section of the Project and application settings dialogue, you define cost adjustments that are taken into account when displaying costs in the mass extract.
    - Planner (project and application settings)
      The Planner area in the Project and application settings dialogue allows you to make entries for the project cover sheet.
    - Page layout
      The Page layout area in the Project and application settings dialogue allows you to configure the layout of your printouts.
    - Simulation
      The Simulation area in the Project and application settings dialogue allows you to set the animation time and the automatic simulation option.
  - Room-based drawing
    The Room-based drawing window in the Drinking water and waste water section allows you to configure and display all rooms and room combinations within the drawing.
  - Schematic Generator
    The Schematic Generator makes it possible to design a complete wiring diagram without any CAD experience. In a floor plan drawing, the Schematic Generator is not active.
  - Simulation
    The simulation is divided into a circulation simulation for hot and cold water and a water withdrawal simulation.
  - Section properties
    In the Edit and Calculate work perspective, your selection in the drawing is highlighted in colour. Section properties and component properties can be displayed and edited differently from the global project settings.
  - Insert drawing reference
    The Insert drawing reference function guides you through the settings for inserting a drawing reference.
  - Water softening system
    The drawing of a water softening system is a prerequisite for its design.

Basic settings

The basic settings in the Project and application settings dialogue contain file configurations for your drawing.

Default file format: From the drop-down menu, select the file format that you would like to use as the default.
Drawing header Dwg file: Include a standard drawing header in the form of a drawing block.
1. Click on the .... button
2. In the Open dialogue, navigate to the storage location of the standard drawing header.
3. Select the file and click Open.
Important:
The dimensions for newly stored drawing headers must not be larger than those of the standard drawing header as delivered.
Block storage path: Specify the default storage path for smart blocks.

2. In the Open dialogue, select the folder in which the smart blocks are to be saved.
