Schematic Generator

The Schematic Generator makes it possible to design a complete wiring diagram without any CAD experience. In a floor plan drawing, the Schematic Generator is not active.

In a clear dialogue box, the individual storeys, the storey height and the number of risers are defined. The relevant components can then be selected and assigned. The technical data required for the subsequent pipework network calculation is thus already defined. The entire diagram is then automatically generated as a .dwg file with just one click. Room polygons for room-based drawing can also be generated from the Schema Generator. With the Schema Generator, the design, calculation and determination of the necessary materials for large-scale installations can be carried out in no time at all.

  1. Launch the Schema Generator by clicking ‘Start Schema Generator ’ in the Building Services toolbar, or enter ‘ startschemagenerator ’ into the command line.

  2. In the subsequent wizard, you can configure the settings for storeys and risers:

    1. Storeys: Specify the number of storeys and designate which is the lowest storey. Enter the storey height; if storey heights vary, you can adjust the height in the list of storeys.

    2. Strands: Specify the number of risers. If required, you can enter a prefix for the strand designation; the strands are numbered from left to right.

  3. Once you have made all the settings, click Next.

Note:
Use the ‘Load scheme from file...’ button to open a previously saved riser scheme.
Note:
The ‘Open Last Scheme’ button allows you to open the last scheme you edited.
