Simulation
The simulation is divided into a circulation simulation for hot and cold water and a water withdrawal simulation.
In principle, the simulation takes a different approach to a calculation. The basis of the simulation procedure is a pipe network that has already been dimensioned and, where necessary, balanced. In the past, pipe networks were dimensioned and balanced solely by means of calculations in accordance with DIN standards. However, this calculation merely ensures compliance with minimum values and represents only a specific static scenario on which the calculation is based.
In many cases, however, it is the realistic operating scenario that is of interest. For example, to investigate the response of thermal valves to different system temperatures in a circulation system, or to determine the actual available flushing flow rates and flushing times in a cold-water hygiene system.
Only physical relationships play a role in determining the resulting flow rates, temperatures, velocities, etc. Limit values are merely checked and, where necessary, corresponding messages are issued.
