Drainage areas
The Drainage areas window in the Drainage section is divided into two tabs.
Open spaces
Open areas overview
The tabular overview in the Drainage areas window on the Open areas tab displays information on all open areas created in the drawing.
Area column
The Area column in the Drainage areas window on the Open areas tab shows the total area of the individual open areas.

    You can divide a drawing into construction stages so that you can later create a material extract according to construction stages.

    In the Edit and Calculate work perspective, your selection in the drawing is highlighted in colour. Section properties and component properties can be displayed and edited differently from the global project settings.

    The component filter allows you to quickly filter the selected components in the drawing.
  - Drainage areas
    The Drainage areas window in the Drainage section is divided into two tabs.
    - Roof areas
    - Open spaces
      - Add open areas
        Use Add area to create a new open area in the tabular overview of the Drainage areas window on the Open areas tab.
      - Delete open spaces
        Delete removes selected open spaces from the table overview. In addition, the corresponding open space polygons in the floor plan drawing are removed from the drawing.
      - Place drains
        The Place drains function provides you with intelligent placement routines for open spaces in floor plan drawings. Customisable default settings including plausibility checks of the value entries are made, taking individual technical specifications into account.
      - Hatching open spaces
        Provide the open spaces in a floor plan drawing with a grey hatching for an overview.
      - Open areas overview
        The tabular overview in the Drainage areas window on the Open areas tab displays information on all open areas created in the drawing.
        Designation column
        The Designation column in the Drainage areas window on the Open areas tab displays the unique identifier of the open area.
        Area column
        The Area column in the Drainage areas window on the Open areas tab shows the total area of the individual open areas.
        Drainage coefficient column
        The Runoff coefficient column in the Drainage areas window on the Open areas tab shows the peak runoff coefficient C_S of the roof area.
        Target discharge column
        The QSoll column in the Drainage areas window on the Open areas tab shows the calculated target discharge in l/s.
        Floodable without damage column
        The Floodable without damage column in the Drainage areas window on the Open areas tab allows you to activate the open area as a floodable without damage area. As soon as an area is activated as harmlessly floodable, the flooding height is calculated. A distinction is made here between a flat surface and a sloping surface.
        Column J
        Column J in the Drainage areas window on the Open areas tab shows the optionally specified gradient in cm/m.
        Backwater column
        The Lrück column in the Drainage areas window on the Open areas tab shows the optionally specified length of the backwater edge in metres.
        Backflow column
        The Vrück column in the Drainage areas window on the Open areas tab shows the calculated backwater volume in m³.
        Column hü
        The hü column in the Drainage areas window on the Open areas tab shows the calculated flooding height h_ü in cm.
  - Find function
    CALHYDRA has a parameterised search function that supports you when searching for drawn sections and components in the drawing and when selecting products.
  - Hydraulics report
    With the preview of the calculation output, CALHYDRA supports you in customising the calculation output.
  - Mass extract
    With the preview of the mass statement, CALHYDRA supports you in customising the printout of the masses.
  - Material editor
    With the material editor, CALHYDRA supports you with convenient and fast determination of your dimensions.
  - Diaphragm expansion vessel

    The options wizard guides you through the settings for the design.
  - Options assistant (heating)
    The options wizard guides you through the settings for the design.

    The simulation is divided into a circulation simulation for hot and cold water and a simulation of a cold water hygiene system.

    In the Edit and Calculate work perspective, your selection in the drawing is highlighted in colour. Section properties and component properties can be displayed and edited differently from the global project settings.
  - Insert drawing reference
    The Insert drawing reference function guides you through the settings for inserting a drawing reference.
  - Water softening system

Area column

The Area column in the Drainage areas window on the Open areas tab shows the total area of the individual open areas.

In a floor plan drawing, the area is determined automatically based on the size of the open space polygon and can be edited. The manual determination of the area can be recognised by the blue checkbox.

Note:

The area can be reset to the drawn free area size by right-clicking on the blue checkbox.

In a schematic drawing, the area must be entered manually and is not predefined.

Important:

The free area entered here also influences the precipitation area of individual drains, which is displayed in the component properties. The precipitation area displayed in the component properties is automatically calculated and displayed based on the number of drains assigned to an open area and the area entered in the Drainage areas window on the Open areas tab.

Attention:

You can overwrite and define the precipitation area of individual drains in the component properties. However, this has no effect on the area on the Open areas tab.

Tip:

To sort individual columns, click on the column headers in the table to sort the entries in the respective column in ascending or descending order.
