KTS design module
The KTS design module enables you to dimension the KTS thermal system, a centralised DHW heating system based on the flow-through principle. It only takes three steps to achieve the result, including documentation of the results.
Determining requirements
In the first step, demand determination, you define the specific demand for your planning using demand profiles or by specifying manual tapping processes.
Demand profile according to DIN 4708
You can use a demand profile in accordance with DIN 4708 to create a demand profile based on a demand index and the specification of the peak demand.

- Determining requirements
  In the first step, demand determination, you define the specific demand for your planning using demand profiles or by specifying manual tapping processes.
  - Demand profile by reference object
    With a demand profile by reference object, you can add a demand profile to your planning based on a predefined building type, a predefined value range for the reference value and a predefined value range for the specific demand. The key figures provided are based on actual measurements in the respective reference objects.
  - Special profile
    With a special profile, you can create a demand profile based on a predefined building type, a predefined value range for the reference value and a predefined value range for the specific demand. The key figures provided are based on actual measurements in the respective reference objects.
  - Demand profile according to DIN 4708
    You can use a demand profile in accordance with DIN 4708 to create a demand profile based on a demand index and the specification of the peak demand.
    - Determine requirements key figure
      In the Determine requirement code dialogue, you can have the unknown requirement code for flat groups determined.
  - Dispensing processes
    With manually created dispensing processes, you create a circulation profile on the basis of created dispensing processes.
  - Circulation volume flow
    You create a circulation profile using a manually created circulation volume flow.
- Interim result
  In the second step, ‘Interim result’, a combination of results is determined on the basis of the requirements profiles and the calculation parameters.
- Result
  The third and final step, Results, provides you with comprehensive results documentation.

Demand profile according to DIN 4708

You can use a demand profile in accordance with DIN 4708 to create a demand profile based on a demand index and the specification of the peak demand.

Enter the name for the requirements profile in the Name input field.
Enter the dimensionless requirements figure in the Requirements figure input field.

Note:
If you do not know the requirements figure for your planning, click on the button
button to determine the requirements figure.
Enter the peak demand in the format HH:MM in the input field Peak demand by:. Alternatively, you can also select the time of the peak demand by clicking on the button .
If required, enter an explanation of the usage profile in the Detailed description of the usage profile input field.
The diagram displayed in the dialogue area below shows the relationship between the PWH power requirement in kW and the time.
Exit the dialogue Demand profile DIN 4708 with Ok.

Note:
A circulation volume flow is automatically created, which can be adjusted afterwards.

The demand profile according to DIN 4708 is displayed in the window Demand calculation (1 of 3).
