RASTER

The grid is a series of evenly spaced lines or dots that serve as a visual distance reference.

The grid only serves as a visual reference and is not output when plotting. The snap creates a set of evenly distributed invisible points between which the crosshairs move in a uniform increment. Both grid and snap can be viewed as line intersections on a piece of squared paper. The snap means that you can only snap to these points with the mouse.

  1. Activate RASTER by clicking on the RASTER button to work with the grid.
  2. Deactivate RASTER by clicking the RASTER button again to switch off the grid.
