Reynolds number

The Reynolds number, or Reynolds number, is a dimensionless parameter named after the physicist Osborne Reynolds. It is used in fluid mechanics and can be understood as the ratio of inertial forces to viscous forces (or the ratio of specific momentum convection to momentum diffusion in the system). This means that the turbulence behaviour of geometrically similar bodies with the same Reynolds number is identical.
