Draw a pipe network
Structure of a pipe network
Pipe networks are used to transport the flow materials to or from several consumers or feeders within a regionally limited area. They therefore contain all the necessary assemblies or components.
Basic drawing features
Lines that are drawn on the PWC, PWH, PWH-C layer are interpreted as cold water, hot water or circulation lines.
Pipe installations
In addition to the start and end components for the visualisation of drinking water installations, all other components are intended for installation in the pipework.

      Pipe networks are used to transport the flow materials to or from several consumers or feeders within a regionally limited area. They therefore contain all the necessary assemblies or components.

        Lines that are drawn on the PWC, PWH, PWH-C layer are interpreted as cold water, hot water or circulation lines.
        Initial components on the PWC layer
        By definition, the drinking water installation begins at the water supply company's (WVU) pipe with the house connection point component. The section in which this component is located is the service pipe.
        Initial components on the DHW layer
        The domestic hot water installation begins with a domestic hot water heating system (DHW). Depending on the DHW heating system, different components are available in the DHW heating systems component group.
        Initial components on the PWH-C layer
        The hot water circulation begins with the connection of a circulation pipe to the hot water consumption pipe and always ends at the DHW heater. This point must be labelled with the PWH layer connection component.
        End components on the PWC layer
        The respective end components of a flow path are usually sanitary fixtures and fittings. Some of the components for the sanitary fittings are combination components that are used both in the hot and cold drinking water installation and in the building drainage system.
        End components on the PWH layer
        If the sanitary fittings have mixer taps, the corresponding components are available on both the PWC and PWH layers.
        End components on the PWH-C layer
        The circulation ends with the connection of the circulation manifold to a DHW heating system.
        Pipe installations
        In addition to the start and end components for the visualisation of drinking water installations, all other components are intended for installation in the pipework.

Pipe installations

In addition to the start and end components for the visualisation of drinking water installations, all other components are intended for installation in the pipework.

The Dendrit component library therefore has a large number of components for shut-off valves, regulating valves, apparatus, measuring devices, etc., which can be placed in the pipework (sections). In a hydraulic calculation, these pipe installations are taken into account in the pressure loss calculation with their predefined properties.
