To design a Wastewater lifting unit, the total inflow of the drainage objects and the total head are required.
The wastewater lifting unit is selected based on the target operating point and the actual operating point. The flow rate and Head of a sewage lifting unit at the actual operating point must be greater than or equal to the total inflow and the total head (= target operating point). The effective volume of the sewage lifting unit must be at least 20 litres and greater than the volume in the pressure line above the backflow preventer up to the backflow loop. The flow velocity in the pressure pipe must be at least 0.7 m/s and a maximum of 2.3 m/s in accordance with DIN EN 12056-4.
