Create a new project
In STUDIO you can create new projects in three different ways.
Use standard template
The standard template already specifies a folder structure within the project. The folder structure can be subsequently customised for the respective project.

  After starting STUDIO, select what you want to do in the project management.
  - Create a new project
    In STUDIO you can create new projects in three different ways.
    - Creating an empty project
      To create an empty project in STUDIO:
    - Creating a variant of an existing project
      To create a variant of an existing project in Dendrit STUDIO:
    - Use standard template
      The standard template already specifies a folder structure within the project. The folder structure can be subsequently customised for the respective project.
  - Open project
    Opens an existing project
  - Restore project from ZIP archive
    Restores a project from an archive
  - Delete existing projects
  - Rename project
    Renames a project
  - Editing documents
    The Project Explorer allows you to edit documents in various ways.
  - Project templates
    When creating a new project, you can access existing project templates, create new project templates or use a variant of an existing project as a template.
  - Show in Windows Explorer
    Opens the storage location of the project or document in Windows Explorer
- Drawing initialisation
  When a new drawing is opened, various settings must be made at the start.

Use standard template

The standard template already specifies a folder structure within the project. The folder structure can be subsequently customised for the respective project.

To use the default template for projects in Dendrit STUDIO:

Activate the Explorer tab or the Favourites tab and select the folder in which the new project is to be created.
Click on Next.
Select Standard from the drop-down menu and enter a name for the new project.
Click on Next.
Enter a name for the new drawing.
Select the project folder in which the new drawing is to be created.

Note:
If you do not want to create a new drawing, tick the Do not create a drawing checkbox.
Click Next.
Enter the project information in the project cover sheet and click Next.
Check all the details in the summary.
If all the information is correct, click Finish.

The new project is opened in the Project Explorer.
